- Free bet blackjack drew me in as soon as I saw it. And I'm sure it will do the same to you. Lesson 3, free bet blackjack. Unlike blackjack switch, you only have to play one hand. You receive two cards face up, and the dealer, one card up and one card face down. If your two cards total 9, 10, or 11, you can double down without risking your own money. The dealer will double your bet for you, hence the name freebet.
The dealer will also allow you to split all pairs except for 10s. And they will place that wager for you for free. If you win, they pay double your initial wager. If you lose, you only lose your initial bet. Since the house is paying for all your doubles and all your splits, they're taking some odds back by changing the casino rules.
For one, when the dealer gets 22, it's a push against all hands. It's a bit of a trade off on that side. But the casino still pays 3 to 2 for all two card blackjacks. You can look for all these details on the felt as all the deviations are clearly listed.
